Massacre, formerly known as Skate Rockers Massacre Palestina, has been playing since 1986 and is highly respected in the Skate Rock circuits. This 19-track CD that displays high-quality cover art also compiles the best of Massacre, previously unreleased tracks up until now, and their own covers of classics by the Monkeys, Alice Cooper, the Kinks and the Beatles. Highly recommended!

MC5 "Babes in Arms" CD Trama $12
Insanely cool Brazilian re-release of this historic cassette put out by ROIR Records in 1983. It includes outtakes, re-mixes, uncensored versions of tracks and ultra rare demos from private collections, none of which are available in any other MC5 release. Liner notes by Mick Farren and, of course, John Sinclair. A True Testimonial!!!

MECHANICS "Psycho Love" CD Monstro $12
Excellent High-energy R'n'R straight out of Goiania, in the heart of Brazil itself. 12 tracks reminiscent of Teenage Fanclub, the Stooges "Kill City" era, or the Residents. Spotless sound and production work with solid multi-page graphic art booklet.

MECHANICS "Mechanics" CDEP Monstro $6
This not-to-be-missed Brazilian band put this CDEP together to deliver 1 original track, 1 T-Rex and 1 David Bowie cover, plus a surprising hidden track. No mechanics, all soul. Awesome work.

METHADONES, THE "Career Objective" CD Stardumb $12
Dan Schafer's (Screeching Weasel, Riverdales) band's second album. Excellent Pop-Punk-Rock tunes as well as excellent production work by Mass Giorgini at the Sonic Iguana Studios. 10 points out of 10 for the tracks and sound quality. Dutch release!

MIKE HUDSON "Unmedicated" CD Sonic Swirl $12
Mike Hudson's first full length solo release after a 30 year music career. Best known for being the lead vocalist of the Cleveland legendary 70's punk band The Pagans. This release includes guest musicians Cheetah Chrome (Dead Boys) & others.

MILKSHAKES, THE "20 RnR Hits of the 50s/60s" CD Sonic Swirl $12
Re-issue of this great record that came out originally in 1984 and that featured Billy Childish's first band playing their old favorite tunes. If you are a fan of Headcoats, Prisoners, Kaisers, Delmonas, etc, you are going to dig this one. UK imported.

MIRACLE WORKERS "Moxie's Revenge" CD Get Hip $12
This album contains the classic August 1983 recording session that produced some of the Miracle Workers' earliest releases. Three songs wound up on their debut 45 on Moxie while another two wound up on their Sounds Interesting EP. The remainder are unreleased garage masterpieces!

MOCKERS, LOS "Original Recordings 65 - 67" CD Get Hip $12
A complete compilation of the original recordings by one of thee best R&B South American bands of the 1960s. Fully influenced by the British Invasion, this 5-piece from Uruguay was forever in competition with their counterparts, los Shakers (parallel to the Beatles/Stones) and were considered the Satanic Majesty of the Río de la Plata. Wild. Plain and simple, you cannot not own this piece of the 60s in South America.

Latest release by Philadelphia's darlings Mondo Topless. Lovers of 60's Garage-Punk and Vox keyboards. Imagine a modern version of The Animals. The sound and style coming out of this release proofs that there is a reason for why Mondo Topless got their name from a Russ Meyer documentary from the 1960s; their music explores all the hip influences from that particular decade while adding a modern twist to somehow get the job done right. A great release all the way around.

This is Mondo Topless' fourth album. Taking a page from the book of Lou Reed, the band claims their new CD is "the best thing we've ever done". Recorded at Slug Studios in Collingswood, NJ, which is in actuality the equipment-strewn attic in Kris' house, the CD perfectly encapsulates the breathtaking variety of styles and influences at the band's disposal, or something like that. So keep your eyes open - and make sure to come out and see them the next time they're in your town.

While each song on "Watching" is a polished gem, special mention must be given to a few. "Reality Is No Friend Of Mine" is an ominous psychedelic pounder, and "So Far Away From Here" is only so slightly less intense. While the whole album fits loosely into a modernized folk/rock genre, "I Can't Wait To Love You" pays loving tribute to the Phil Spector/Jan & Dean sound. "The Whole World Is Watching" is certainly an appropriate title for this new Mystic Eyes album.

Marseille, France's punk rock quartet the Neurotic Swingers are currenlty at the peak of their career. One of France's few bands to rise from the garage and make an impact outside of their small local punk rock community. They toured the USA a few months ago to promote this album. The New Salem Witch Hunters are a Garage-Rock institution in their native Cleveland, Ohio and this CD is the long-overdue reissue (first time on CD) of their Debut LP originally released by Cleveland-based Herb Jackson Records in 1986. OPTIC NERVE, THE "Lotta Nerve" CD Get Hip $12
A timely reissue of Optic Nerve's two long out-of-print 45s along with some previously unreleased tracks. If folk-rock is your bag, this is the album to get. The 13 songs on this album sound as if they were recorded in the '60s. Along with the Mystic Eyes and Head and The Hares, the Optic Nerve proved that there is more to garage than fuzz.
