"Inhuman"
delivers some insanely catchy in-your-face tunes with an obvious
NYC-circa-1970s rock'n'roll spirit at heart and a fresh sound. Fronted
by a very young, very talented female vocalist-guitarist that clearly
takes her cues from punk-princess-turned-rock-goddess Patti Smith, and
backed up by a powerful crew of musicians who know what the hell they
are doing, no doubt that UTOPIANS have a bright music career ahead of
them. Their young energy has placed them as one of the most active
bands in their scene, having completed several tours outside of their
native Argentina in various formats, including large scale rock
festivals and more intimate acoustic performances in Chile, Uruguay,
Germany, France, Spain and the U.K. with appearances on the legendary
BBC. Building a solid fan base wherever the band goes though, it comes
as no surprise that when the Patti Smith band played in Buenos Aires,
Lenny Kaye picked up on UTOPIANS and quoted them as being the one local
band that he was actively listening to. So get ready to experience some
intoxicating vintage-sounding female-fronted rock action reminiscent of
the raw and raucous first generation NYC rock’n’roll scene with a
modern day touch.
