No
Fun Records was born in 1997, in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina, with
the intention of releasing obscure bands other labels would typically shy
away from. We were glad to find that, slowly but surely, the bands started
gaining grounds and recognition. Today we specialize in Garage-Punk-Surf-PowerPop-Soul-Psychedelia,
or to call it differently, ROCK'N'ROLL, the real deal.
Five
years later, in 2003 -after branching out to Sao Paulo, Brazil in early
2002- we moved to the City of Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA), a part of the world
that very much inspired the beginnings of the label, all the way down in
the southern most part of South America.
Originally we exclusively signed South American bands, especially if they
displayed bizarro sounds from remote places such as Argentina, Uruguay,
Brazil, Peru, etc. As time went on, we grew and expanded into other territories
and are now committed to continuing to do so.
Here you can find our entire catalog, news, periodic updates on all the bands on the label, their shows and tour schedules, listen to MP3s, read our e-zine, check out our favorite links and much more.
